Dr Ryan Edwards is an economist, a Senior Policy Fellow at the Development Policy Centre and a Fellow in the Arndt-Corden Department of Economics at the Crawford School. His research interests lie at the intersection of development economics, labour economics, international trade, and the environment. Ryan also leads the Economic Development stream of the Pacific Research Program, coordinates the ANU’s labour mobility research, and convenes the Economics PhD Seminars at the Crawford School. He has collected tips for presenters here on his personal website: http://www.ryanbedwards.com/resources
Ryan returned to the ANU in June 2019 from academic appointments in the Department of Economics at Dartmouth College, where he taught courses in statistics and development economics, and at Stanford University, where he completed a postdoctoral fellowship with the Centre on Food Security and the Environment and the Department of Earth System Science. Ryan worked in the Australian Government—mostly on federal budgets, school funding reforms, social investment, and impact evaluation policy—and in global development before that.
