Two Crawford School academics have been recognised for their work through the ANU College of Asia and the Pacific 2013 Teaching Awards.
The awards, which were announced on Thursday 31 October, recognise and encourage excellence in both coursework teaching and research supervision within the college.
Dr Paul Burke, Research Fellow at Crawford School’s Arndt-Corden Department of Economics won the award for teaching excellence. Tuan Phan, Crawford School PhD candidate, won the award for excellence in tutoring.
Phan, who was also the winner of the 2012 excellence in tutoring award, said he was delighted to receive recognition for the work he does at Crawford.
“Crawford School is a great place to learn from the best academics. Helping other students learn and being awarded for this means a lot to me,” he said.
Winners will receive an ANU Commendation for Outstanding Contribution to Student Learning and will also be nominated for a Vice-Chancellor’s Award for Excellence in Teaching.
