Manoj Kumar Pandey is currently a Lecturer in Economics at the Development Policy Centre of the Crawford School of Public Policy, and a Visiting Lecturer in Economics at the University of Papua New Guinea as part of ANU’s partnership with UPNG. He is also an Adjunct Fellow at the School of Economics, Faculty of Business and Economics, University of the South Pacific (USP).
Prior to joining ANU, he worked as a Fellow in Official Statistics and coordinator of the Official Statistics Programme at the School of Economics, Faculty of Business and Economics, USP. Prior to completing his PhD program at the ANU in 2014, he worked for Australian National University, Institute of Economic Growth (IEG) and National Council for Applied Economic Research (NCAER) in New Delhi, India for about 10 years on various research and teaching positions.
His field of research is economics of ageing, development, health, labor, food-security, gender and well-being. His country specific research area includes issues in India, Australia, South Africa, China, Papua New Guinea and other Pacific countries.
