Head of ACDE, Professor Paul Burke
Professor Paul Burke is Head of the Arndt-Corden Department of Economics, Crawford School of Public Policy, Australian National University. His research interests are in energy economics, environmental economics, transport economics, and development economics, with a focus on the Asia Pacific. Paul teaches IDEC8029 Issues in Applied Microeconomics and IDEC8053 Environmental Economics. He holds a Bachelor of Agricultural Economics (Honours 1) from the University of Sydney and a PhD in Economics from the Australian National University.
Deputy Head of ACDE, Associate Professor Hoang Long Chu
Associate Professor (Hoang) Long Chu is Deputy Head of the Arndt-Corden Department of Economics, Crawford School of Public Policy, Australian National University. His interest is in creating applied models to support sustainable decision-making, management of water and fisher resources, biosecurity and disease controls, and structural reforms. Long Chu is the recipient of a number of awards and honours, including the prestigious Eureka Prize in Australian science. He is the Economics HDR Convenor at the Crawford School of Public Policy and teaches IDEC8020 Applied Economic Dynamics and IDEC8064 Masters Microeconomics.
