The Arndt-Corden Department of Economics (ACDE) works on key problems in economics with emphasis on Australia, the Asia-Pacific, and global challenges. Its mission is to carry out economics research at the frontier of knowledge and educate the next generation of researchers and decision makers.

This webinar is led by Head of the Arndt-Corden Department of Economics at the Crawford School of Public Policy, Associate Professor Paul Burke. This interactive webinar will allow you to ask questions and receive useful information from Paul so that you feel informed and inspired about your next move in economics policy.

Your expert: Professor Paul Burke

Professor Paul Burke, Head of the Arndt-Corden Department of Economics at the Crawford School, will be hosting this session. His research interests are in energy economics, environmental economics, transport economics, and development economics, with a focus on the Asia-Pacific.

Paul is ready to answer any questions you may have about development economics, macroeconomics and finance, international trade, environmental and resource economics, agricultural economics, labour economics, tax and transfer policies, poverty reduction, institutional economics, and other topics.

Student stories: Chandra Tri Putra

Chandra Tri Putra completed his PhD at the Arndt-Corden Department of Economics in 2021. Prior to enrolling at Crawford, he worked as a Research Associate at the Economic Research Institute for ASEAN and East Asia (ERIA) in Indonesia.

Chandra was encouraged to pursue further studies at Crawford by his professional supervisors, who were also graduates from ANU.
