The Arndt-Corden Department of Economics is a leading centre on research on theoretical and applied problems of economics and development, with emphasis on the countries of the Asia-Pacific. Graduates from ACDE now have leading positions in universities, international organisations, governments, and the private sector. The Department’s PhD students enrol in the Crawford School’s PhD program in Economics.

Current students

PhD scholars at the Arndt-Corden Department of Economics work on theoretical and empirical economics topics and have a shared interest in analysing and addressing Asia-Pacific and global policy challenges. Research fields cover various aspects of the economies of the Asia-Pacific and beyond.

Graduates and recent submissions

PhD graduates from the Arndt-Corden Department of Economics have completed theses on a wide range of topics and gone on to positions in research, teaching, and other fields.
